Minimum Qualification for Admission to Diploma Courses
To be eligible for admission to Diploma Courses in Food Production and Food & Beverage Service, a candidate must have a clear pass in the final examination of the 10+2 system of Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent, with English. Even those who are appearing in the 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2021 can apply provisionally. However, provisional admission will be canceled if the proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted at the time of admission.
Age Limit for Admission to Diploma Courses
The age limit for admission to Diploma Courses in hotel management is 25 years, which is relaxable by three years for SC/ST candidates. For General and Physically Handicapped Categories, candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1.7.1997 are eligible. However, the upper age limit is relaxable by three years for SC/ST and Backward Class candidates. Physically challenged candidates/open India candidates' upper age limit will be based on the category they belong to.
Physical Fitness
All qualified hotel management candidates have to submit a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner in the prescribed format given in the brochure at the time of admission.
